Mare perfect and Bullocks was a bust in loss.
Olindo Mare hit his extra point and kicked 2 perfect onside kick attempts… well perfect except for the fact that Josh Bullocks couldn’t hold onto the ball. I thought you earned your way onto the onside kick squad because you are good at catching the ball.
Not that the loss is the fault of Bullocks, he did have 5 tackles and a sack. Also, the Saints should have never put themselves in the situation of being 3 scores down.
The season is far from over and I truely believe that the Saints have far more talent than any other team in the NFC South. It is possible that the NFC South champ could finish at 9-7, so the bar is pretty low. Let’s just hope the Saints wake up and finish strong.

I pegged them at 7-9 before the season started. They might still top that. Also, I think the play of both starting safeties has greatly contributed to the moments where the defense has played well this year. That doesn’t help with onside kick coverage but it is something.

I think they may very well top that. The remaining teams are not all that impressive and the Saints do have a good amount of talent. The talent just needs to step up and be consistent.
And the Safety play, when they have played good, is a plus. However, people on the hands team need to have good hands.
