A sad commentary on Louisiana politics
Steve at Bayou Buzz asked some legislators about the pay raise issue. A Republican legislator who is nameless posed this possibility:
One Republican legislator told me that then candidate Jindal really probably did not even know that the legislative raise platform was in the written campaign material.
That is a sad commentary on the state of Louisiana politics. What is even more sad is that with how much Jindal is “handled” by Timmy and Sellers that the idea is actually believable as well.
If that is the lengths you have to go when you run for office, if you have to let other people right your platform for you in order to win, then I guess I will never win an election ever because I would refuse to let campaign advisers tell me what my platform was going to be.

The Jindal administration, only 6 months old, is the most arrogant in my memory, and I’ve been around for a long time.
I thought it would take a little longer for the true believers to have the blinders removed, but I was wrong.

A lot of the pundits who are “true believers” are changing their tune. However, I still see many people who still blindly support him because “he is so smart” or because they put all the blame on the “leges” and view them as bullying their hero.
However, I am amazed at people like Nick at Conservative Cajun who posted this.

Didn’t Johnny McCain recently deny saying something he’d said earlier in the day - reasoning that reading from a prepared speech ain’t the same as really saying it - or sumpin to that effect? McCain & Jindal seem a perfect match . . .

Yeah they do seem to be a perfect match.
On the issue of the true believers, here is an example of Jindal supporters who still have that blind faith in him. Ironically this is a Democrat speaking and still buying that we got some sort of meaningful ethics reform when we did not.
And while I agree with the “Krewe” that Timmy and Sellers need to go, I doubt that Jindal’s doing so will change him at all.

Even Jeff Sadow, Jindal’s biggest cheerleader I know of, is calling some of Jindal’s actions into question. PAR has blasted him twice recently. His base is calling b.s. on him.

If Sadow is calling bravo sierra on Jindal you know Jindal is having a bad day.
