To all those Hillary supporters who are saying that they wouldn’t vote for Obama, I have two points.
A) She would accept the V.P. nomination if it would help the Democrats win the White House. She is a team player, you should be too!
B) Imagine the idea of eight years of Hillary as V.P. followed by eight years of Hillary as President. Sixteen more years of a Clinton in the white house. That should be music to your ears and should drive the Conservatives crazy.

The Southern Political Report states:
Bobby Jindal, the Republican governor of Louisiana, and Phil Bredesen, the Democratic governor of Tennessee, both promote a transparent, business-like approach to managing state government. But as both have shown this year, transparency has its limits.

They are $40 on ticketmaster, $50 at the gate. What they don’t tell you is that after all the fees, 2 tickets for jazzfest wind up costing $100.80. Kinda stupid. Just sayin…
So Vitter’s “serious sins” happened to pertain to a business that was ruled to be a prostitution ring.

The state is short more than $6 million of what is needed this year to pay contractual obligations to the New Orleans Saints and New Orleans Hornets professional sports teams
I thought we had a billion dollar surplus. The required payment to the sports teams represents less than 1% of the money in our surplus funds.
Bobby Jindal, in presenting the budget, should have made sure that obligations to pay businesses currently in Louisiana are met. How on earth can we expect to attract new businesses to Louisiana if we cannot fulfill the promises to existing Louisiana businesses?

Derrick “don’t drop your pants” Shephard is scheduled to be indicted by a grand jury today. I guess if he goes to jail, we may understand why he wanted the ban against pants dropping.
Something about him always rubbed me the wrong way. The icing on the cake (before the indictment) was his “informational handout”, paid for by the taxpayers (allowed by a Louisiana Law that allows legislators to inform everyone on what they have accomplished). He handed it out while campaigning for reelection. THAT should be illegal.

UPDATE: Betty Jefferson, sister of Congressman Bill Jefferson, has been implicated(according to the T-P) but not indicted in the case. How many more Jeffersons need to be indicted/implicated/or otherwise involved in a crime before the Democratic Party says “just go away”.
As such, he has proven that he loves embryos and hates gays more than any other gay hating embryo lover who ran.
That being said, does this look like the man we need representing LA01 in Congress?
Im also sayin…. we need reed! (Please read both my endorsement of Gilda and my comment in support of her on nola.com)
