Of course, some people would question Congress wasting time on trivial matters like this. At least Charlotte has a Congressional respresentitive that attends and votes!
Apparently, the toy that is sold as “Aqua Dots” in the United Stated will metabolize as GHB (a date rape drug) if injested. Child Predators must be going crazy trying to find these toys. These toys will be pulled off the shelf by Toys R Us (and other retailers) however you can still find them on Ebay. I wonder how long Ebay will allow that auction to continue. Though, I don’t have much faith in Ebay and their protection of consumers. I am going to report this to Ebay and see if they take action.
And what is wrong with China? Why can’t they make safe toys?
UPDATE #1: I have reported the problem to Ebay. However, the reporting feature only allowed me to list it as someone selling a recalled item and it did not allow me to explain the problem further. I have no faith in the ability of Ebay to determine what the actual problem is, so I doubt they will be able to figure this out.
Update #2: The listing ended with the “Buy it Now” feature. I guess somebody needed some kiddie roofies asap.
Update #3: I’m impressed! Ebay has pulled all of the aquadots listings.
